At Henna By AO, we believe that proper aftercare is essential to achieve the best results from our 100% organic henna. Follow these detailed aftercare tips to ensure your henna design lasts longer and maintains its vibrant color.
Aftercare Instructions
Keep in mind the aftercare instructions for a better vibe,
1. Caution
Henna takes 20-30 minutes to completely dry. During this drying period, it is crucial to avoid any contact with the applied henna. This helps prevent smudging and ensures an even stain. To protect the henna, you can spray a henna sealant after 20-30 minutes or apply a mixture of lemon juice and sugar on the design.
2. Longer is Better!
For the darkest and most long-lasting stain, leave the henna paste on your skin for a minimum of 6 hours. The optimal duration is 8-12 hours. The longer the paste remains, the deeper the stain penetrates, resulting in a richer color that can last longer.
3. No Water & Moisturize
- Avoid Water: Do not use water to remove the dried henna paste. Instead, gently peel it off or use an essential oil to help loosen the paste. Avoid exposing the area to water for the next 12-24 hours. Cover the area with plastic or keep it out of water streams to protect the design.
- Post-Removal Care: After the initial 12-24 hours, apply natural oil or Henna By AO aftercare oil or balm to the stained area. This helps protect the stain and enhances its longevity, especially before activities such as showering.
4. No Scrub
To maintain the henna stain, avoid body scrubs, exfoliation, friction from clothing, and excessive sweating. These actions can cause the henna stain to fade prematurely. Remember, henna takes approximately two days to reach its full, dark color.
Proper aftercare is key to enjoying the full beauty of your henna design. By following these tips, you can ensure that your henna stain remains vibrant and lasts longer. At Henna By AO, we are dedicated to providing the best henna experience, from application to aftercare. As there is,
